Characteristics of Kratos PC
Kratos PC stands out as a cutting-edge 3D printing filament, combining the strength and resilience of polycarbonate with enhanced printability. Its low warp technology ensures smooth, stable prints even at high speeds, making it ideal for complex or large-scale projects.
With impressive heat resistance up to 150°C and excellent mechanical properties, Kratos PC is perfect for creating durable parts that can withstand harsh environments and heavy use. This unique blend of performance and ease of use makes it a compelling choice for both professionals and hobbyists looking to push the boundaries of their 3D printing capabilities.
- Low Warping: Incorporates advanced low warp technology, reducing shrinkage and improving adhesion.
- Durability: High impact strength and tensile strength make it ideal for tough, functional parts.
- Thermal Resistance: Capable of withstanding temperatures up to 150°C, making it suitable for high-heat applications.
- High-Speed Printing: Designed for speed, Kratos PC can print at up to 200 mm/s without compromising quality.
Properties
Kratos PC’s properties make it a true engineering-grade filament, offering exceptional performance in demanding applications. Its high tensile and flexural strength ensure that parts are not only tough but can endure significant mechanical stress. The material's impact resistance and ability to withstand high temperatures, up to 150°C make it ideal for functional, load-bearing parts. With excellent dimensional accuracy and durability,
- Tensile Strength: 630 kg/cm²
- Tensile Elongation at Break: >100%
- Flexural Strength: 920 kg/cm²
- Flexural Modulus: 24,000 kg/cm²
- Izod Notched Impact Strength: 70 kg∙cm/cm at 23°C
- Vicat Softening Temperature: 150°C
- Heat Deflection Temperature (HDT B): 139°C at 0.45mn/m²
How to print Kratos PC
Pre-Drying: Kratos PC is hygroscopic, so it must be pre-dried at 75°C for 24 hours before printing. For the best results, print directly from a dry box to prevent moisture absorption during use.
Build Plate: Use a dedicated PC adhesive for optimal bed adhesion, and include a brim around your model to avoid warping.
Enclosure: For smaller prints, an open printer is sufficient. However, for larger prints, using an enclosed chamber is recommended to maintain consistent temperature and prevent warping.
